Ny city..."tutankhamun"

hiii!!! well it is being over 30 years since Tutankhamen's exposition have not being in NY city. i has the privilege of assist to this event. Tutankhamen was a prince that ascended to the throne at 9 years old. he died when he was 19. he married anaksunamun one of 6 sisters. in the exposition you can observe ancient jewelries and all the different things that carter found in the prince tomb in 1922. he is amazing!!!!!!!

well......yesterday we had a pretty nice day. we danced and we ate. we had a lot of fun. the food was delicious and the company was great. I guess it is going to be our last moment of sharing and having fun. the tests are coming and our last day of class too. I going to miss you ALL!!! THANKS CHRISTINA FOR WHAT YOU HAVE TEACHING US....

Making decorations.

When we met with the family, we usually make a nice table. we have everything in the same color. the napkins and the table's covert match. our leaving and dining room matches too. it is a dark red color. in the picture you can see me decorating the table. you can have a clearly idea about what am i talking about.

the lakers..a basketball team.

lakers is a basketball team. lakers is the best team in the west. they play for the NBA. the best player is called kobe bryamt. at this moment lakers had won the series 3 to 0 to the utha jazz. a basketball game has 4 times. each time is divide in 12 minuts. lakers needs to win one more game in order to go to the conference's finals in the west. basketball is a interesting and exiting game.

Penni and Coach

Penni and coach are two dogs. they help people with different disabilities. they both had a hard entrainment were they learn how to become a therapeutic dog. they had visited schools, hospitals and other centers. their principal goal is to help and entertain child and adults with their emotional or physical problem. they are two amazing dogs.

esteban and I

Esteban and I are from the same marriage, we both have the same parents. I'm one year older that him. we both like to study and learn new things. we both came to the united states in the same plain in the same day. we both dance "cueca"(Chilean dance). actually he is my partner in dance. we both miss our country. I love him and he loves me.

Dolphins

the test...

well...soon we all are going to take the placement test. some of us are nervous. others are trying to relax. the rest of us feel good because they know that have give as much as they can. however i wish good luck to everyone!! it is going to be an important day . that day we will finish another step of the process for get into college.

emotions...

emotions are feelings that we can not always control. when we feel sad, sometimes we feel like there is no way. however it depends of the reason why we are sad how we are going to feel. usually we cry because we feel impotent for the fact that we can not do anything about it. in the other hand, when we are happy everything seem to fell into place. emotions are one of many ways to express how people feel. emotions show us that we are alive.

My new style!! jejeje this picture is almost 2 years old. I did this style to my niece and myself. she was sleeping :) ... that was one of my crazy ideas ever jeje but the moment was worthy because now i have a nice memory.

my family...cousins..

in my family the most closest cousins that i have are karen,cristian and jannira. they are mu ant's sons. we always spend time together. know that I'm falter away, when i go to Chile we enjoy even more the time. I'm always in contact so we always communicate. i hope to see they soon..

the Eduardo of the barra was my high school in Chile. i made really good friend in there. this picture is one of the many times that we went out. i know that in the united states is a law that people can not go back in a minivan. it is dangerous. in mi country that is so normal. in this picture 12 of my friends were in my small brother minivan :). it was so funny . when my brother had to turn we all yelled heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! jeje we were moving from one side to another one.

My best friends.

When i first got to the united estates i was sad because i left all my friend in chile. after a couple of weeks, i was able to know new people. i made a lot of friends in a short period of time. Of all of them i concidered 2 my best friends. JD and Brielle. Jd is from corea and brielle was born in here. we always spend time together. it is interesting how a corean, american and chilean get longer very well! jejeje.

La cueca is a Chilean dance. it is the national dance of my country. the man is suppose to follow the girl in circles and she is suppose to run away in the same circle. both of them have to cross their legs . if their are going to the right side the left leg goes in top of the right one and vice verse. my brother is champion. he had won several competitions. i dance with him.

We are practicing a lot. the day is coming and we still need more preparation. usually when i arrived we first do stretch and after we start inmediatlly to dance. we still need improve but i know that we are going to make it. they are really practicing hard and that gives me more courage to keep motivating them.

NOCHE DE CARNAVAL AT NCC....party!!

The last Thursday was the carnival night at NCC. S.o.l Student Organization Latins were the one who organized this. I arrived early so i can help to set up the place. it looks really nice. Julio and elada were there too. before the party start the S.O.L club have a surprise for me. they celebrated my birthday that day because the Tuesday from the next week is suppose to be of so they are not going to see me. It was so nice, I felt so good! :) after that they appeared with a birthday cake and sang for me. Later on everyone went to dance .......It WAS A REALLY NICE DAY!!

...ThE MiStErIeS Of mY cItY...

I use to live in Valparaiso,Chile. We have a lost of myths ans legends but there is one that usually seem to be real. Valparaiso people believe in a place called PIEDRA FELIZ. This place is a beach which people Say that has a magic attraction for killing females. For more that 20 years now that place is famous in my city because more that 160 girls have die in there. usually when they have a problem"love problem" they just go to this beach called 'PIEDRA FELIZ' people Say that the girls feel an attraction ,they feel that jumping in there is the best solution. people Say that the girls listen to a woman voice which in certain way call them to jump.......however is just a myth...maybe or maybe not..

One of many presentations that I have done was at great neck high school. It was a multi cultural fer. The director of the program knew about me and my passion for dance so he asked me if I could dance for them. Obviously i said yes. I had to dance in 3 different places at the same day because the fer was morning and afternoon but they did it in different places in the same high school. That day was crazy , remember to dress and re-dress again and again. I have a nice memory from that day. kisses!!!......................

Thursday was great. We spent a nice day in class. I loved the food but what I loved most was that everyone enjoyed being together. It is true.....we are a family. Thanks for all the support and love Barby we will always love you. I would like to have more time with you but I understand that is part of the program to have two teachers. Ooh. God. Esteban and I came to this long island in 2008. before that day we had never been apart of home. i remembered that everybody from my family went to my house fro say goodbye. i was sad, i did not wanted to leave. but i knew that we had a great opportinity in here. the picture that you are seeing is my mom, esteban and i. on her face you can see that she was sad. all of us were......but i have them on my hearth now and forever....

An Earthquake in chile

Hi to everyone...............
unfortunately Chile suffer one of the most strongest earthquake since 1960. the worse impact was on the capital of my country Santiago, my city is 2 hours far from Santiago. our president Michelle bachelett proclaim from my city to conception "cities of catastrophe". My family is fine. the damage was more material than physical. i had have not communication until Saturday at 6 pm. They were in shock, it was a scary experience. they were not prepare at all.

are meeting during the week. we practice salsa. we will have a presentation in march. we are practicing really hard for make of us a nice dance group.

SNOWING IN PENNSYLVANIA...AND MY ACCIDENT :(

HIII!! well right now am on bed. I went to Pennsylvania this last Monday after valentine's day. it was eli, eli's cousin and me. we were in our first snowboarding lesson when I heard a girl screaming. the last thing that I remember was me on the snow. people started to came to my side and asked me if I was ok. after I remember eli running into me and asking me the same. I said to him that I coud not move and my back was hurting me. I remember the little girl crying and asking if I was ok. the ambulance came and they bring me to the hospital. I spent at least 3 hours in the emergency room, taking all kind of exams. I felt so dizzy. everything was moving and hurting too much. so they gave me drugs for the pain. finally they took me outside in wheelchair and they told me that is going to take me at least 1 week in order to recuperate the whole movement of my body. the girl hurt me in the low back between my spine and my hip. thanks god that I did not have a internal bleeding or a spine injury. It coud have been worse. but accidents happens. I'm taken 3 different drugs for the pain and the muscular inflammation right now and I swear that until I'm writing this the letters are moving... jejje :). i hope to see you all on Monday...

my graduation from high school 2007

I was seventeen years old. it was a nice ceremony at my school:liceo Eduardo de la Barra. my mom and my brothers were there. i remember that Esteban my youngest brother gave me flowers. my mom gave me a ring. i still have that ring, this symbolize the day that i stopped to be dependent for became independent. after the ceremony we went to my mom's house and we had a small picking. that was a nice day!

"ThE mUmMy"...my secret passion

One of my favorite movies is the mummy. I love Egypt and the mummy is one of the best movies about the mysteries of Egypt. when I went to Disney world I immediately visited universal studios. here is the place where you can find games about all the movies. the mummy was there. Belly Dance is another dance that I practice. Im not a profecional because nobody thaugh me. I lerned by my self loking to videos and with my mom's help. My mom helps me because she is the one who took classes of belly dance. almost all my coreography I lerned from her. well how most of you know pascuense is a sexy dance from the island of mi country Chile. pascuence clothe is made of feathers and see rocks. pascuence can be girls and boys. the music is in Rapa-Nui language. the ancient language from people of the island. I learn pascuence dance when i was 12 year old and I been practicing since then.

My beautiful niece

I have a niece her name is katherin. she is almost 3 years old. she is the daughter of one of my 6 brothers. she is a very happy child. katherin is always smiling and singing. her favorite princees is little mermaid. she loves her. so everytime that I go to chile I know that I have to buy something related to little mermaid for her. she lives in chile with my family. my mom said that every time that she sees an airplane she says : ahi va la titi. which means there goes titi. titi is how she calls me. I love her!! and I know that soon we will be together again.

Mi MoM's SpEcIaL GiFt

I went to chile in December of 2009. it was a wonderful trip. I spended time with my niece, grandmother, mother and brothers. before I came back I wanted to buy a necklace to my mom. not a gold or silver necklace but one made of rice. so the day before my trip back to long island I went to this artisan's store and I took at least 45 minutes in think what I wanted to write on it. the person who did this told me That he can write a maximum of 25 letters on the rice. after 45 minutes I finally decide to write: TE AMO MAMA meaning mother I love you. I went to my house that day and i gave it to her. I said mom I love you with all my heart and I want you to have this so you can think of me. she smiled and walked to her room and when she came back she gave me a gift. she had bought the same necklace to me and by coincidence she had written the same: cindy te amo which means i love you cindy. I put it in my hand like a bracelet and I wore my special gift since then.
